The nail art trend is nothing new to the fashion industry today. People have been coming up with ways to elate their nails since ages. The striking colours, ornaments, glitter. Acrylic Nails: All about nails art

The nail artist mixes a liquid with a powder and brushes the mixture onto the nails. They generally cover the entire nail. The product then hardens as it is exposed to the air.

Gel Nails: All About Nails Art

gels today have a similar consistency to nail paint. They are brushed onto the nails, the nail tips, or as they call it the “nail appliqués” to extend length. After each coat is applied, the nails are put under ultraviolet light for up to two minutes to “cure” the product.

Gels are comparatively more expensive than acrylics, but they also hold their colour longer without chipping. 

Silk Nails: All About Nails Art

These are fabric wraps which are glued in place to strengthen the weak nails or for the purpose of helping a cracked nail grow out. Some of the wraps are made out of silk, but others are often made of linen, paper, or fiber glasses (All about nails art). 

The nail technicians fit the material to the nail’s shape, hold it in it’s place, then brush on the glue.

Silk nails are intended to be temporary in nature, as the adhesives loosens within two or three weeks, or sooner if washed dishes by hand without gloves. The nail technician can remove or reapply them at follow-up visit.

The nail art requires a perfect and even base, thus there are many tools to prepare the base first. 

Nail cutter: All About Nails Art

A nail cutter helps to trim the nails. It helps in manicures and padicures and also helps bud goodbye to a whole lot of bacterias. 

Nail buffer

The nail buffer helps to make the nail shinier. It helps to remove dry ridges or peeling on the nails by smoothening them out. The main purpose of the tool is to polish the nail and gives them a consistent look.

Nail file

This is the tool which is used to gently grind down the edges of nail, making them smoother and helping in shaping them. There are different types of nail files namely – emery boards and plain metal files which are the most commonly used tools.

For Cuticles 

Cuticles require special care. There is cuticle pusher to push the skin from the nail back and away. Another tool is cuticle nipper which is used to deal with hang nail. It offers precision to reach the tight spaces and to trim annoying ingrown nail. 

There is a whole set of different tools for nail art. To name a few there are manicure tweezers. Nail art tape, dotting tool, thin tip brush, glitter nail polish, glitter nail polish remover, matte topcoat, nail polish correction pen etc.
